Triumfant Meets Stringent Government Standards
Rockville, MD – March 31, 2009 – Triumfant®, creator of patent-pending software that automatically discovers, analyzes and remediates unexpected changes and conditions at the endpoint, today announced that Triumfant Resolution Manager™ has earned the Evaluation Assurance Level 2+ (EAL2+) Common Criteria certification. This certification confirms that Triumfant Resolution Manager underwent rigid testing and evaluations to meet the strict requirements for security products as outlined by the International Standards Organization (ISO). The certification is mandated by the U.S. government for all federal purchases and is recognized by 25 countries.
“As federal agencies continue to face a barrage of security threats, it is imperative that they have security solutions that safeguard government data and enforce organizational regulations,” said Jim Ivers, Chief Marketing Officer at Triumfant. “This certification further validates Triumfant Resolution Manager within the federal government space, assuring government buyers that Triumfant meets the strict criteria necessary to help protect their desktop environments.”
Common Criteria is an internationally recognized set of guidelines (ISO 15408), which define a common framework for evaluating security features and capabilities of information technology security products. The standard consists of several predetermined evaluation assurance levels, each one more stringent than the last. Common Criteria allows vendors to have their products tested against a chosen level by an independent third-party testing laboratory.
Triumfant partnered with Corsec Security, Inc., a consulting firm with over eleven years of validation experience, to facilitate the testing and prompt completion of the Common Criteria certification.
“Corsec is proud to have worked with Triumfant to achieve this EAL2+ certification,” said Matthew Appler, CEO at Corsec Security. “Triumfant’s time investment in this lengthy process demonstrates their commitment to providing their customers with the best desktop security solution in the industry.”
Triumfant Resolution Manager uses its patent-pending analytics to identify and remediate unexpected changes and conditions in the desktop environment. This is accomplished by tracking and analyzing over 200,000 attributes for every computer including registry keys, security settings, port settings, and performance statistics. Triumfant detects changes at the granular level of each machine and determines if these changes are normal to the computer population or an anomalous event. If an anomalous event is detected, Triumfant Resolution Manager automatically synthesizes a surgical remediation to address the issue.
