Rockville, MD – Jan. 8, 2008 – Triumfant, a pioneer in automated IT problem detection and resolution software, today announced that Guy Curtis, Rear Admiral, US Navy (ret), Bob Gourley, former CTO of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and Alan Wade, former CIO of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have joined the Company’s Advisory Board. The three leading government technology experts bring a breadth and depth of insight and experience critical to furthering Triumfant’s early success in the federal government sector. Triumfant’s solutions are used by government agencies and enterprises that need a cost-effective way to manage their IT environments while demonstrating compliance with regulatory demands and IT policies.
Admiral Curtis currently manages his own government and technology consulting business which he founded in 2002 after serving in a strategic role at Xerox Corporation and completing a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Navy. While at Xerox, Admiral Curtis was charged with developing the worldwide government strategy, implementation planning and field deployment that helped evolve the company to an industry solution approach. The Admiral’s 25-year-plus career with the U.S. Navy culminated in a position as Assistant Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Logistics. In this role he achieved significant reduction in production time and cost as a result of developing the Department of Defense Strategic Plan for flexible computer integrated manufacturing. Admiral Curtis is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School.
Bob Gourley is the founder of Crucial Point LLC, a technology research and advisory firm. He is a former CTO of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) where he provided technical and operational advice and senior technical review regarding DIA and DoD IIS information architectures, data processing, IT systems, applications, networks and communications. A winner of InfoWorld’s 2007 Top 25 CTO Awards, Mr. Gourley is a strong advocate for user-focused software and his contributions to the Google Gadget community have placed him on Google’s list of the top 200 gadget programmers in the world. He holds three masters degrees including a master of science degree in scientific and technical intelligence from Naval Postgraduate School, a master of science degree in military science from USMC University, and a master of science degree in computer science from James Madison University.
Alan Wade retired from federal service in 2005 after a 35-year career in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Early assignments at the CIA involved technical programs primarily in the areas of telecommunications and technical security. During the last 15 years of his career he held increasingly senior roles including Director of Communications, Director of Security and Chief Information Officer. At the time of his retirement he had been the CIO of the Agency for three years and had the added responsibility of CIO for the United States Intelligence Community. During his career Mr. Wade received significant recognition for his contributions including the Meritorious and Distinguished Officer designations and the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal.
“I am honored to welcome these top-notch government technology executives to our advisory board as we reinforce our commitment to providing leading software solutions to the government sector,” said John Prisco, CEO of Triumfant. “Their first-hand knowledge of the unique challenges government faces will be invaluable as we continue to evolve and expand our offering.”
